Out of Anger is Finally In
...the STUDIO!
That's right AngryNation! 5 years in the making and we're finally hitting the studio. This month we are working on our very first studio album to bring to you guys. At the time of this writing, JL has already completed his drum tracking and we've got guitars to lay down this weekend. We're looking at ten hour days of grinding out the best possible sounds we can.
This has been an awesome experience so far, working with a great engineer Chris Jensen from Red Light Recording Studios in Salt Lake City. (He was especially helpful at tuning those damn floor toms!) All of us are looking forward to finishing the project. We've learned a few things so far and we're sure we'll have plenty more to learn in the upcoming sessions. Some of which:
Drums sound better when their tuned properly (guitars too!)
Always have snacks on hand for long days
Keep well hydrated (especially when you're sick and have to record)
Tell the guy in the studio next door to turn off his subs
Watch out for dog shit (and piss) in the hallway
Here's to hoping the rest of the studio time goes as well as the first weekend!
